The southern bit of Boltside was part of Twilight City's historic Black Belt, a Black community straddling along the borders of many of the central neighborhoods from east to west. Boltside is also home to the Bauhaus Building, an historic center for Marxists and Bohemians. Much of central and northern Boltside was quite working class, with factories and a warehouse, though trendy businesses had begun moving in.
