Denton: It's Astounding!

  • Denton is a slow-play map for casual players who don't logon as often. If you're tired of the hectic life style of Twilight City (and even Gravesend these days) you'll enjoy Denton's unique feature--Action Points refresh at a slower rate, 2AP every 10 minutes. The Denton lifestyle is slow-paced and laid back.
  • Denton is a smaller map, 20 by 20 squares, with fewer buildings, and a quaint, small town aesthetic. It has big city amenities like a fort, a mall, and a gun shop, but it's still small enough you know your neighbors.
  • There's no power station in Denton. Generators and gas cans are used to power buildings individually.
  • You won't be disturbed by walkie talkie chatter from other cities, and there's no television reception.
  • Slow, Small, and Rustic... Denton is Astounding!

Geography

Denton is a small town in the south east corner of Twilight County, 15 miles south of Gravesend, and 45 miles from the county seat of Twilight City. The town consists of four neighborhoods: Bilkswood, Gulley Town, New Old Brook, and Bleakmanton. The terrain is flat, featureless and suitable for corn farming.

History

Most locals consider it nothing more than the corn field where the Mischell Mall was built, but some remember it as the site of the Denton Witch Trials in 1691 and later as a burying ground for unclaimed Civil War dead. Like it's neighbors, Denton was always a military town, and the economy never recovered from the 1977 closure of Fort Sharpe. City Hall hailed the construction of four new Lazarix facilities as a boon to local business, but the unforeseen appearance of zombies and vampires has dampened any hope for Denton's future.
