JACOB LANTERN:
Is A Nosferatu class vampir with origins of european descent. It has not yet been determined exactly wether his name is in actuality Jacob Lantern or not or where exactly he came from but there has been Unofficial ties to him involving The german SS as well as Lazarix.
His name stems from the unusual radiance his eyes eminate.
A strange bright bluish hued light similar to a Jack O Lantern. it is believed he can see through walls with this unusual ability and it's even been rumored he can see through the human body as well.
His wardrobe is roughly victorian era, sporting a tophat and business suit with a long coat although he also carries a set of blood soaked german officer lugers, A sign that he's been around atleast as long as world war2.
NOSFERATU / WHAT BIG TEETH YOU HAVE!
A type of vampire often known in german folklore as having slightly elongated features, rat like pointed teeth and notorious for eating fresh corpses, jacob prefers the blood of the dead over the blood of the living.
This is possibly due to the fermentation process blood goes through once it's gone stagnant, creating an aloholic type effect for vampires which the fungus That created the zombie outbreak in twilight city actually helped amplify the potency of.
He is a hideous creature with a hair trigger perosnality going from calm and collected to livid and psychotic within a moment's notice, often caling himself "das wolf" (the wolf)
To keep people from running away from him, he is often seen sporting a sheered off human face as a form of mask as well as sunglasses to conceal the "lights" of his eyes.
he is quite charming if you are on his good side and even upon occassion shows a comedic side to himself rarely seen. If you are on his bad side however, he has been known to hunt enemies down relentlessly like a nightmare. Even his own kind.
TEAMS:
When jacob first arrived in twilight city, he was originally a member of a group of vandals known as the warriors, Soon after joining he Had grown displeased with their lack of group cohesion and left to Join the commando mercenery group the deathsquad where he had seen a many of kills including the historic events that took place in early june of 2009 at the ulysses library.*

Eventually Jacob felt it was time to move on from deathsquad, on good terms ofcourse, and form his own coven, one in whch the goal was to hunt down the living dead, a coven he named "blut haus" (blood house)
Jacob actually Percieves human life as a precious gift and is more about keeping the balance of twilight city in check over the philosophy of one group dominating completely.
The coven's agenda however was shortlived and abruptly changed after a skirmish at the twilight city powerplant where he and a few fellow coven members were assisting the army national guard in maintaining power to twilight city in which he was assaulted By a soldier from leviathin corps who then tried to cover his assassination attempt up by a botched revival attempt ~unaware that Jacob is incapable of dying and that his body has an immunity to the revival serum lazarix created to fight the zombie epidemic.
It was after this assassination attempt that Jacob saw things in a new light,
realising his attempts at helping humanity survive were futile and that humans would never accept his kind as an equal and the order to his coven was changed from dining on the undead exclusively to:
"Those who are not allies of the coven are simply meat for the wolves"
The Whip and The Stone:
Jacob Lantern is often seen wielding a blood soaked bullwhip into battle as well as a marble tombstone as his primary weapons.
This is because he detests firearms which he often refers to as "A crutch for the cowardly und weak."
He received his bullwhip from his good friend, Commisar Simon Belmont, a Man from a long line of Vampire hunters and he wields it with pride, often lashing opponents to death.
The tombstone however was a recent addition, one which he found in a cemetery in stormwood. It's Heavy body making it a superb bludgeoning weapon of choice for quelling unruly house guests in his den.
If you see him, you will often see it lugged across his back by a heavy chain, a giant number 40 sprayed across it's front in red spraypaint, It's base covered in congealed blood
HISTORIC TIMELINE:
The Tale of Jack o Lantern
There is an old irish folktale about a man named jack who tricked a grand demon into climbing up a long branchless tree to retrieve a child tucked away in a burlap bag for his meal.
Once the demon had reached the top of the tree and opened the bag, he had realised It was a trick as the bag was full of clothing and rotten potatos rather than the promised child.
In a rage, the demon came barreling down the tree only to be stopped in his tracks by an enchanted fetish set at the base of the tree, a fetish which would mean certain death for the demon if he were to leap off of the tree and devour Jack for his deception.
The demon begged and pleaded with jack to let him free to which jack man made a deal with the demon that he would let him go on one condition: that he never suffer the eternal damnation of hell when it came time for him to die.
The demon agreed and Jack set him free.
But when it came time for him to die, he was greeted by the fairie council of tier na nong, the Enchanted city of ireland unseen to the naked eye and was condemned to walk eternity in the world of mortals, with only a lantern to guide his dark path for his trickery.
The Bloody U-Boat
On september 6th 1980, The wreckage of A german nazi U-boat was discovered Just south of campbell beach at the bottom of the bay.
How the submarine vessel had managed to come as far as twilight city is an amazement enough but was even more astonishing was the reported damage the ship had taken in what was described as "it was as if some kind of wild animal had been let loose in there"
several skeletons were found inside the ship, wearing tattered and torn bloodsoaked nazi uniforms, their skulls frozen in a permanent voiceless scream of horror.
Upon further investigation into the ship, A private journal was discovered detailing how a strange noise in the cargo portion of the ship had sparked a horrific chain of events in which some kind of "monster with eyes like hell and teeth like a rabid wolf" had emerged from one of the cargo crates and proceeded to eviscerate every living thing in sight, even going as far as to sheer off the face of one officer and releave him of his pistols after he had emptied three rounds into it without any success.
it was later revealed through a preserved manifest that the cargo in question of the ship was that of several medical cadavers and one crate of unknown origin which was believed to have been from ireland as part of the hanover estate.
THE LEGION PROJECT:
In the fall of 1998, A secret underground facility funded by Lazarix was set on fire, killing over 40 People, most of which were later identified as scientists and black special ops trained security personel.
There is little if any infortmation available of this incident aside from a brief description that the concrete walled facility was the house for a project called "legion", a project which was rumored to have been about cloning geneticly enhanced soldiers for some unforseen catastrophe.
Only one survivor was reported as making it out of the fire, But he was too "bewildered" to make a satisfactory assessment at the time and was briefly admitted to Saint Malcolm's asylum for the insane shortly afterward.
Upon interview, he did manage to say the following:
"The thing just came out of nowhere, started tearing things apart left and right. he was like some kind of monster! and those eyes! they were like looking into the headlights of an 18 wheeler barreling down at you at 85 miles an hour!"
He was found hung by his own bedsheets the following day in his room at saint malcolm's after making that statement, The phrase "trick or treat" was scrawled across his bedroom wall in what was best described as "written in Blood and gore"
The Ulysses Library Incident:
June 5th, 2009. What started out as a meeting at the Ulysses Library soon erupted into a five hour long stronghold battle teaming allied forces Death Squad and The Einherjar against several opposing forces.
The fight was for the most part vampire on vampire combat,which Jacob was a part of, being a member of deathsquad at the time.

Das Blut Haus~The Blood House
Das/der Blut haus was formed in July of 2009 By jacob lantern. It is A vampire/Human coven designed to 'keep the balances in check" in twilight city.
Controversy of the name.
Due to the name of the group being in german, There have been a few ignroant accusations of Das Blut Haus being a "Nazi Vampire group"
This is a MAJOR misconception As historically the nazis were about global domination of one master race where as Blut Haus is pro-balance, Believing that the city is better off in chaotic order rather than one race having ultimate domination over all.
Which is why jacob often clashes against pro-human/survivor groups since he sees eevyrone as a form of survivor and sees humans as A closer fit to the Nazis of yore with their "eradicate anything that doesn't have a pulse" Mentality.
There is even a special ranking in the coven known as the red elite, a ranking which requires all who posess this title to be able to function as all three races if needed, utilizing the powers provided to each race as a strategic advantage.
The original mission:
The original mission statement of the Blut Haus was to attack only zombies, leave humans at neutral And only attack them if you are defending yourself.
The origin of the wolf:
The blut haus are refered to as the wolves of twilight city. This is because jacob runs the group as a wolf pack is run.
Rarely do members go out on their own alone, often times their leader is not far behind and they will defend their territory with vigor if needed to.
Historicly, Wolves are a formidable adversary in german folklore. Often seen as the ultimate predatory animal in the densely forest hued country.
Having a wolf on your side is a symbol of power, one even the great vikings were privileged in enjoying. They are fierce fighters who rarely back down. For this same reason, being on a wolf's badside can prove to be a living nightmare as they have a keen sense of memory and smell and have been known to follow their prey where ever they may go.
